As you know the 30th Annual Leather Pride Night is fast approaching on Saturday June 22th and it will be a night of fun and charity. We are in the process of finalizing our Model and Presenters list for the event.

Presenters: Presents auction items and performs demos of items on stage at the live auction

Models: Presents auction items and performs demos of items on stage as well as models clothing at the live auction.

**All models and presenters will be required to sign a release form stating any photos taken will be property of LPN and will be used for LPN promotions.

30 YEARS OF LEATHER, COMMUNITY & PRIDE! LPNXXX – Saturday, June 22nd, 2013

NEW YORK, NY; May 16, 2013 – A gala celebration is planned for the 30th anniversary Leather Pride Night NYC (LPNXXX), scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd at XL Nightclub (512 West 42nd Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues). Doors open at 6 PM, the event runs until 10 PM.

An annual fundraiser by the leather-BDSM-fetish community for various charities, veteran auctioneer Jo Arnone will return to guide heated bidding over nearly a hundred auction items, including leather and latex fetish clothing, toys and equipment, art objects, event passes and tickets, unique personal services, and much more.

Overseeing the festivities, this year’s Master and Mistress of Ceremony will be Mr. Eagle 2013 Arsenio Amadis and Past Empress XXVI of the Imperial Court of New York Witti Repartee. Several sexy performers will also be taking the stage, as will entertainer and promoter Will Clark, presiding over a fast-paced, progressive auction. As in years past, LPN will also feature a silent auction, a raffle, a kinky flea market and, to keep those leathers, boots and shoes looking sharp, a team of bootblacks will be on hand, with all tips going to the evening’s beneficiaries.

XL’s doors will open for LPN at 6:00 PM, and the auction will run from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Liquor, beer, wine and soft drinks will be available at a cash bar, and light finger food will be served. A sign language interpreter will be present throughout the evening, and the venue is wheelchair-accessible.

Over the years, LPN has donated over $400,000 to local and national charities. This year, Leather Pride Night will donate the 2013 Auction proceeds to: Bailey House, National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF), Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund (TLDEF) and, as has been annual tradition since the start, Heritage of Pride, the producer of New York’s annual Pride Parade.

Leather Pride Night is sponsored by nine NYC-area BDSM-leather-fetish organizations: Iron Guard BC, Jersey Amazons, Lesbian Sex Mafia, MAsT Metro NY, MetroBears NY, ONYX NY/NE, Pariah’s MC, The Eulenspiegel Society, The Imperial Court of New York and many committed individuals.

Leather Pride Night is just part of a season of fabulous leather, BDSM and fetish-oriented happenings in New York City. More information on additional events will be released as it becomes available.

ADMISSION
General admission tickets for Leather Pride Night are $20/advance and $25/door, with a VIP option available for $75. Online ticketing for both will soon be available.

General admission tickets can also be obtained via any of the sponsoring organizations or the beneficiary organizations, as well as through the following supporting venues: David Samuel Menkes Custom Leatherwear, DomSubFriends (@Paddles), Purple Passion/DV8, The Leather Man, Passional, and Le Chateau Exotique.

Admission is restricted to those 21 years and older, and all attendees must present valid ID to enter.

Leather Pride Night Monthly Planning Meeting Tonight

The Leather Pride Night Committee’s monthly planning meeting is tonight, 8-10 PM at the The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, 208 West 13th St., (bet 7th/8th Avenue), NYC.

Any individual or organization sharing an interest in the projects of the Leather Pride Night Committee is welcome to attend and find out more.

Community Open Town Hall: Will there be an LPN 30?

All Friends in the Leather & Fetish Community,

Leather Pride Night has brought the New York area BDSM/Leather/Fetish community together for 29 years. Known as LPN, for short, it was a see-and-be-seen event for leatherfolk from across the country. A must-attend for IML and ImsL, LPN’s auction, flea markets, raffles and boot-blacking raised thousands of dollars for NYC-area gay, women, AIDS and youth charities and from time-to time raised money for NSCF, legal and First Amendment movement funds. Hundreds of people volunteered, carried, built, moved and sold hundreds of garments, tickets, furniture and toys. But right now, LPN is at a crossroads. The committee is suffering from a lack of new members. The New York leather scene has changed dramatically in the past three decades, with organizations dwindling or going defunct. Bars and clubs closing and the cost of producing LPN in time, energy and money has skyrocketed, as the actual funds made available for giving has decreased.

So what is the future of Leather Pride Night? Will there be an LPN XXX? What form or forms will it take? Who will volunteer this year? Should it just stop altogether? That’s where you come in.

At 8pm, on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, the Leather Pride Night committee will be holding an open forum & town hall to take suggestions, hear comments and, potentially, infuse new blood into this community institution.
